Advice for men

Clothes for your business photo

This is just a recommendation! If you have specific clothes in mind but find they don’t match this list, bring them anyway!

The main thing is that you wear clothes that you like and that you really feel good about. So … bring your favorite clothes.

However, I recommend not to bring clothes that are too small, too big, or not ironed! yes, that seems obvious, but … better to say and repeat!

Clothing without a pattern is preferable.

Don’t hesitate to come with multiple jackets and multiple shirts. Together we will choose what suits you best.

Make sure the shirt collars are neat and ironed. It is very important. Use this session to take photos for various purposes. Suits and shirts for your LinkedIn profile, a t-shirt for your casual business cards, and why not a jacket or hat to make a portrait of you.

Make the most of this session!

the hairstyle for your profile picture

Take the time to style your hair (you can always make last minute corrections in the studio).

If you plan to go to the hairdresser for the session, go there at least 48 hours before the session.

Bring all the utensils of your daily life to continue with the final touches.

Be shaved! … including nose hair. This will only make you better.

You’re welcome! Don’t pluck your eyebrows !!!! At least not too obvious.

Glasses for your business photo

Even if it is a real challenge for me, bring the glasses that you are used to.

If you wear glasses all the time, we will take the photos.

If you have more than one pair, bring these so we can try out multiple frames and lenses.

I advise you to bring at least 4 different tops / dresses.

Be careful to limit the patterns that could distract the person viewing your photo. You can’t get too much attention.

For this purpose, tops or solid dresses are preferable.

Then avoid the white jacket, dress, or shirt, which could become the brightest part of the photo and so be distracting.

Also, remember to bring clothes that your eyes will appreciate (e.g. the same color).

Make up for your business photo

If you are used to applying makeup, I recommend a very light, natural makeup that will enhance you without naming the person looking at your photo.

If you can avoid the eyeliner please avoid it. I’ll be careful to make your eyes stand out without doing this feat.

Bring your makeup for last minute touch ups.

Avoid makeup that creates reflections (shine)

Try to avoid:

  • Avoid thick eyeliner (top and bottom), sharp, harsh lines. Let your eyes express themselves.
  • The eyeshadow that changes the effect created by your eyes
  • Drawn in the eyebrows with a hard line, it naturally makes false eyelashes (they weigh down the eyelids and make you look sleepy). They can also create shadows that hide your eyes
  • Too much redness on the cheeks, cheekbones. Lipstick, especially when it’s very dark
  • Lipstick (bring a clear / neutral shine to keep your lips shiny and / or a moisturizing one
  • Lipstick in neutral colors to even out cracked lips and imperfections). Avoid strong colors like bright red.
  • Powder foundation
Nothing prevents you from bringing your makeup with you. We’ll add it as the session progresses. At the end of the session, we can even take portraits that you can catch up on as you wish.
    Jewelry for your profile picture

Although distracting, we can take photos with your favorite jewelry.

Be aware, however, that they can grab the attention of the person looking at your photo! … but it is up to you to decide what to photograph.
